Satellite Locations

The Winnipeg Humane Society is pleased to offer pets for adoption at several off site locations. These Satellite Adoption Centres (SACs) create greater visibility around the city for animals in need and provide an opportunity for more lives to be saved as they free up much needed space in the shelter itself. SACs also promote community awareness of The Winnipeg Humane Society and responsible pet ownership. Since it began in 2000, over 3,000 animals have found homes through the Satellite program.

While most of our SACs handle cats only, on occasion, special adoption events are held where puppies and/or dogs are available as well. Please check our website to find out when one of these events will be at a location near you.
