Back to school season is in full swing! Here in the WHS Education Department, we have been eagerly waiting to get back into the classrooms – whether it be in person or virtually! Our team is so excited to be bringing back into schools our Empathy for All Living Things Program!

The Empathy for All Living Things Program is an opportunity to teach students to have a responsible, empathetic attitude toward all living things. We achieve this by immersing the students into one of our nine different topics. Each session includes interactive activities and having meaningful conversations.

These topics include:

  • Safe Interactions
  • Basic and Emotional Needs
  • Self-Care for People and Animals
  • Intelligence
  • Relationships
  • Conflict
  • Loss and Grief
  • Stress and Emotion
  • Personal Space

The series is designed by qualified teachers and animal welfare specialists. The goal of this program is to nurture a responsible, empathetic attitude toward all living things.

Each of the topics can be modified to fit any group you teach! We are also now offering these presentations virtually to ensure students all over Manitoba get the opportunity to become more empathetic!
