Winnipeg Humane Society volunteer Liubava Hlavati feels so passionate about animals that she intends to make them a huge part of her life in the very near future. Liubava (who says ‘call me Liu’) came to Canada from war-torn Ukraine two years ago and has been volunteering at the WHS clinic since November 2023 as a surgery assistant.
