SafePet Program

SafePet helps individuals leaving abusive homes by providing temporary housing for their pets.

Every day, people across Manitoba leave their abusive homes. The decision to leave home often saves their lives and the lives of their children. Deciding to leave, and then actually doing so, is not easy. Studies have shown that a significant number of people delay their decision to leave a home because of their pet.
